As of now we're around 5 months ahead of the NBA season, a problem we will definitely face is the rookie draft, we don't know who's gonna declare and the ratings are gonna be inaccurate like this past season. The staff has come up with a few ideas to bridge the gap but we'd like to hear from the rest of the league, no suggestions would also be welcomed. Here are some of the ideas: - RimRockers 2.0 - Fantasy Draft - Offseason home, same rules as RimRockers but different lineups, we'd have a fantasy draft to determine rosters, once the season is over we head back here.
- RimRockers 2.0 - Same rosters, different team - Same idea as option number 1 but instead of a fantasy draft we use the current rosters of the teams in RimRockers. However, each GM has to claim a new team. It'd be fun to see how other GMs would do with your team
- Skip the 09 draft and let all teams with picks create a player, ratings will depend on the pick#. We would then use the 09 draft in the 2009-2010 RimRocker off-season.
- Fictional draft class, all the players would be created by the game . The 09 draft class will then be the 010 draft class and so on.
That's all we have right now, obviously these are just ideas and not final yet, that's why we need your opinions. What do you guys think? |

fantasy draft for sure even tho some people who have a solid team right now might be against it. it seams like the most legit option though.

imo i like the Fantasy Draft idea, kinda like D6, where u start a new league or something and when the finish up that season and move come back here?

The only thing with fantasy draft would be the amount it'd take to finish it considering the one we're having here is taking longer than expected

I personally hate the idea of switching teams. or the fantasy draft. I like the idea of fictional players or create a player, just saying.

Off-season leagues don't seem to work, as we've seen with D6. The activity there is nothing compared to D5 and its mostly the same GM's.
I like the fictional draft class the best, as it would keep the league going for at least 2 more seasons guaranteed. As you stated, the 2009 class would be fictional and then the 2010 class would be from the 2009 real life draft.

how about Fantasy draft for 3 seasons then redo every thing just like that we will have only 3 picks 2008/09/10 there is no way in hell to continue more than that..or same roster for 3 seasons..

it will go till 2009 and stop no way to keep going..NLSL system was great...and its ajoke how people start fantasy leagues and they KNOW it will die after 2 seasons max it doesn't matter how good it will go or how many good GM's we have just impossible to continue. and guess what we coming back to 2008  |
