We'd like to offer Channing the following deal:
2009/2010: $500,000 2010/2011: $1,000,000
Total: $1,500,000
Total Salaries 2009/2010: $83,523,000 Total Salaries 2010/2011: $84,523,000
We offer Channing a chance to be our primary backup big. He will see a lot of minutes in the regular season as TD is getting up there in age and we'd like to rest him and Tyson Chandler is injury prone so we'll try to limit his PT.

The Grizzlies offer Channing Fyre a contract worth 17 million over 4 years.
2009/2010: $3,000,000 2010/2011: $4,000,000 2011/2012: $5,000,000 2012/2013: $5,000,000
Grizzlies Team Salaries without Frye (including all options and draft picks):
09/10 Total Salary: $37,484,980 10/11 Total Salary: $38,740,824 11/12 Total Salary: $34,379,960 12/13 Total Salary: $29,486,120 13/14 Total Salary: $0
We feel that Channing is a nice young PF and can help fill our hole at that postion. He will probably not be a starter right away as we are still looking for a starting caliber bigman but he will be the main báckup at F/C and if he keeps getting better he could become our starter down the road. In case he becomes a starting caliber PF, he will have the chance to opt out of his contract in 2011 to sign a bigger contract.
priority list: Ron Artest, Wilson Chandler, Charlie Villanueva, Corey Maggette, Channing Fyre
Edit: New Offer

The New Jersey Nets would also like to offer Mr. Frye...
09/10: $3,000,000 10/11: $4,000,000 11/12: $5,000,000 12/13: $5,000,000 (player option)
4 years / $17,000,000
Mr. Frye could prove to be invaluable as he can stretch the defense and is proving to be a good defender/rebounder. He would be the backup (as of now) to Thomas with a chance to win the starting job before season starts
Team Salaries Before Frye (not including all options and recent draft picks): 09/10: $43,511,521 10/11: $40,234,286 11/12: $33,450,560 12/13: $11,000,000 13/14: $8,000,000 14/15: $0
**Edit: No priority list**

Phoenix - Channing is very young still, so unless you can up their money somehow, youy are out of the running. He wants a chance to start, and wants more money than what you are offering. The title chance isn't that important at this stage in his career.
New York - Channing wants no longer than a 4 year deal, and actually wants any 4th year to be a player option. Also, he'd like to see your offer more closely resemble NJN and MEM type money. And, what is his role going to be on the Knicks?
New Jersey - Channing would prefer that 4th year in the contract is a player option.
Memphis - Sit tight for now while we wait for these other teams to possibly change their offers.
NO ONE should put any more money out there than the NJN/MEM type contract. Any higher and I'll just make it smaller anyway.
ALSO, everyone update your priority lists. Memphis, I know at least two of the guys on your list have signed elsewhere, we just want to make sure that is updated.
Thank you.

PHX - You have until tomorrow night to upgrade your offer. If you do not, you are eliminated.
NJN - Thank you for changing the 4th year to a Player Option. Channing likes your young team, and it seems a bit further along than Memphis. He also see's that he is likely to end up starting with your current roster, since he is rated more highly than Kurt Thomas. If not starting, significant minutes are very likely. Also, What is your priority between Birdman and Frye?
NYK - Thank you for updating your offer. It is much more attractive now. You have Brand and Gooden who only play PF/C, plus Diaw who likely plays a little PF in your system, and then Varejao also. We are not sure we see a whole ton of PT on your team...
MEM - Channing sees that he could be a starter on your team alongside Biedrins. That is obviously in your favor, so sit tight for now. A slight uptick in money, maybe adding a 4th year PO as well, would make you almost too good to pass up.
Right now, NJ and Memphis are in the lead. NYK, we just don't see how you can give us the minutes that we can get with these two other teams. PHX, we would also be a clear backup on your team, so the PT issue presents a problem for you as well. Plus your money hasn't come up.
A decision will come in the next day or two max.

Also, What is your priority between Birdman and Frye? . I'm actually going to get rid of the priority list. I'd like to add both Frye and Anderson. Both players will immediately improve my depth at the center and power forward positions. Also, I think the competition for the starting center job will be a most intriguing one.

Phx - you have not checked this or have chosen to not update your offer, so you are out of the running. We likely would not have signed with you anyway based on PT. Thank you.
NYK - We don't see enough playing time available in New York, unfortunately. We like the city and appreciate that your franchise drafted us, but that's not enough at this point in Channing's career to override the probable lack of PT. Thank you.
Boston - you are late to the conversation, but we appreciate the offer. Unfortunately, you have Zach Randolph, Kendrick perkins, and Udonis Haslem..plus a nice young big in Leon Powe. We don't see enough PT with you either. Thank you.
Memphis - We want to be as big a part of the team as possible, but with the recent signing of Villanueva, who we see will likely play PF (since you have all those young SF types in Earl Clark, James Johnson, and CDR), we see we're a clear backup PF/C on your team. We're just not comfortable with that.
NJN - It looks like we have a legit chance to start for you, and that makes the difference right now. Channing is young and wants to play as much as he can, and be as big a part of his team as possible. Also, playing with Blake Griffin and O.J. Mayo will be great for years to come. Channing signs with the Nets!
