The Nuggets do not have a small forward. They would like to offer Artest a 5 year contract worth $32,800,000
Year 1: $4,000,000 Year 2: $5,000,000 Year 3: $6,250,000 Year 4: $7,800,000 Year 5: $9,750,000
Salary with Bibby and Artest 08/09 $65,510,509 09/10 $24,850,000 10/11 $29,500,000 11/12 $15,600,000 12/13 $9,750,000
EDIT BY Charlotte (I put his other post in this post): The Nuggets see Artest as an important part of their team. They are looking for a starting small forward and pairing him with Richard Hamilton and Amare Stoudamire. Package together with a good center this team could make a run in the playoffs. We want to sign Artest to a longer contract so that with his help will be able to be a contender for years to come. The Nuggets organization looks forwatd to adding Ronny to the team.

We would love for ron artest to be part of our team. Danny Granger looks like a great fit but we think Artest has a better defensive presence and is more flexible at the SF & SG positions which makes up for the youth that granger has. After due consideration, we actually see Artest as valuable addition to our team. We also do know that Artest is looking for a ring and we hope that Artest thinks that our team can give him that.
We Offer Artest a 5 year contract worth $60million
Year1:$8,500,000 year2:$10,250,000 year3:$13,250,000 (player option) year4:$16,250,000 (player option) year5:$11,500,000 (team option)
Total Salaries without Granger, Landry & House 2009/10: $54,830,991 2010/11: $53,792,600 2011/12: $37,000,000 2012/13: $15,750,000 2013/14: $17,250,000 2014/15: $0
Priority: Artest & Granger of of equal importance to us. Would love to have either signed on our team

Total Team Salary (before Artest and with Arenas signed) 2009/2010: $56,512,820 2010/2011: $50,430,061 2011/2012: $44,509,280 2012/2013: $34,200,000 2013/2014: $31,200,000 2014/2015: $18,000,000
we would like to bring Ron Ron to the bright lights of LA, he is a starting SF that we need on our team and a leader that can help us lead the young players on our team to a championship, and we have just resigned our leader and SUPERSTAR Gilbert Arenas to the team.
we could have a starting lineup of Arenas, Curry, Artest, Hoford, and Bynum which would be one of the best line-ups in the NBA.

as we missed curiously out on Arenas and Brand (one of the funniest things in sim league history - they chose rebuilding teams for less money *LOOL*) Artest is our primary target now. For him the most important thing is winning a championsship! (thats why i went to LA this summer - he obviously wouldnt go to LA in this league, cuz only with 85 gilbert and 78 Bynum Artest can fight for the 8th spot for the playoffs).
We offer the most money and could still raise the offer or change it, if he has any wishes. Let me know.
If its about winning...come to Florida! If its about money...come to Florida! If its about starting...come to Florida! If its about the weather...come to Florida! If its about gettin a lots of open threes (Dwight in the middle)...come to Florida!
NEW OFFER:
The Orlando Magic offer for Artest 2 contracts to choose from:
Deal1: guaranted $90,000,000 over 6 years with 5 player options included.
Year 1 = $13,000,000 Year 2 = $14,000,000 (PO) Year 3 = $15,000,000 (PO) Year 4 = $16,000,000 (PO) Year 5 = $16,000,000 (PO) year 6 = $16,000,000 (PO)
Deal2: a shorter contract, guaranted $75,894,270 over 5 years with 4 player options included.
Year 1 = $13,894,270 Year 2 = $14,000,000 (PO) Year 3 = $15,000,000 (PO) Year 4 = $16,000,000 (PO) Year 5 = $17,000,000 (PO)
08/09 Total Salary: $54,105,730 08/09 Soft Cap Room: $14,894,270 08/09 Hard Cap Room: $30,894,270
advantages: + He would start along at SF (and 6-10-Turkoglu at PF) + As we plan to play like the original Magic, with Dwight in the middle and shooters around him...Artest will get a lot of open shots. + He would play 36-40 minutes at SF and even some maybe PF + He would play for the Championship + $87,000,000 guaranted! + he can opt out every year he wants (you never know what ronron want *g* + artest is smarter than Brand and Arenas, who went elsewhere
why Orlando is the better fit than Miami: + He would be the second best player on the team (and not the third) + better, balanced team + much better bench (SG/SF Gay 83, PF/C Maxiell 74, C/PF Glen Davis 72, SF/PF Moon 71,...)
priority list: 1. Artest 2. J.O'neal

The Miami Heat would like to offer Ron Artest a 6 year deal worth 86 Million Dollars, with a player option after year 3.
Year 1: $12,000,000 Year 2: $14,000,000 Year 3: $15,000,000 Year 4: $15,000,000 Year 5: $15,000,000 Year 6: $15,000,000
Total: $86,000,000
PS. This offer should conform to Kitty's standards, we are willing to offer more if need be.
Mr. Artest, you took 6 M in real life to play with Kobe. Why wouldn't you want to take 12 M to start off to play with Kobe AND Lebron!?!?!? You would play your natural 3 position with Kobe at the 2 and Lebron at the 4. Add in Miller at PG, Camby at C, and a good looking bench *gasp* (right now Linus Kleiza, Bobby Jackson, and Danny Green) why wouldn't you want to come to Miami? We even have a beach, and if you ever want to take time off during the regular season to prompt your rap album I am all for it!

Alright, here are some notes, questions, and the like for teams pursuing Mr. Artest's services.
Utah (NJN) - We really appreciate the offer, but we would like to be on more of a contender. You have a nice team shaping up (we like Beasley, Evans, Millsap, Speights a good deal), but it's a bit young, and even with veteran Big Z, and Artest, it's not likely to go all that far just yet. There are just better teams out there with just as good fits for Ron. He's also not that interested in being the team leader of any team. He'd like to be a big part of a team, and one of the leaders possibly, but not the main man. He'd like to be on a team better than that. Good luck in your other bids.
Memphis - A lot of the same points as the Jazz...we don't want to be THE LEADER of a team right now. Maybe a co-captain, but we'd rather be on a team where there is a player that is clearly better than us offensively, thus letting Ron focus on his Defense and play a more role-playing role in the offense. Good luck in your other bids.
Denver - You need to up your offer considerably, ASAP, or we are done talking to you. We're not going to use our time saying any more to you than that, since your offer is so much lower. Get up to at least the 10 million a year area or you have no chance.
Minny TWolves - You've got your forward positions sewn up for years to come. Thaddeus Young looks like a very nice young SF who can do a little PF in the right system, Rashard is a great SF/PF type depending on the system, and Al Jefferson is more of a PF than a C, though he's ok at both. We see Ron as more of a SF/PF guy at this point in his career, as opposed to a SG. If Ron signs with you, you'd have to play Thaddeus Young out of position at SG likely, because Ron has no interest with his 6'7" 260lb frame being a SG. This does not seem like a great fit for us, but you are not out of it yet. We appreciate the Player Options in year 3 and 4, which is keeping you in the discussion - if we don't like how things fit there, we could just back out after 2 years. Hang tight and we'll let you know.
LA Clippers - Ron isn't that interested in what "could" happen, next year. He likes the city of Los Angeles, and does like that you have cap space, but your roster needs a lot of help before Ron would come there. He's interested in being on a clear contending team, not in being another piece of the puzzle, which still has many holes in it. Good luck with your other bidding.
LA Lakers - As player agent, I'd also like you to lower your offer in the latter years a bit. 16 and 17 million a year in his year 34 &35 seasons is too high. Ron is very interested in the Lakers right now. He is not making a final decision yet, but playing with Arenas as his PG, a young energetic, great shooter in Stephen Curry, and a great frontcourt of Bynum/Horford is definitely interesting. Also, your bench is solid, and you have another 15 million or so in cap space coming open next year. Things look good for your franchise, so you're near the top of our list. Sit tight as we weed other teams out.
Washington - You have Redd at SG, Deng at SF, and Aldridge who should really play at PF (he's a bit thin to bang with C's). We realize you've move Aldridge to C if you got Artest, but it doesn't seem like it is the best fit for your team. You are not eliminated yet...but we're not sure we love the situation of your team. Also, the Luol Deng contract is really harmful to your team. You need to lower your contract btw, it's too high especially at the end.
New Jersey - We know this is tough for you to hear, but your team is just not quite ready to compete yet. There are better situations out there for Ron. He doesn't really want to be the best player on the team right now, which we have said consistently to a lot of teams in these negotiations. Mayo and Blake Griffin are a great core for the future, but Ron just doesn't like the fit right now in NJ. We're sure you will be a good team before long, but we see other teams out there that fit our desires better. Good luck on your bids and have a great season.
Orlando - It really looks like you have a whole starting lineup already on your team, with 3 players that are basically SG/SF/PF types, just like Ron. What this means, is you are very flexible, and that is great! The problem we see, is that adding Ron to the mix makes him a 4th option at those same positions, and that means his playing time gets eaten into a bit. All 4 of those players are rated in the mid 80's, just like Mr. Artest. It looks like a questionable fit for playing time. You are not eliminated yet, but we are not sure how good of a fit you would be.
Miami - Kobe and Lebron on the same team is enticing. Add in Andre Miller to facilitate and Camby to be a big defensive force down low, and your starting lineup looks very formidable already. Ron is interested in coming to Miami, and you are not out of the running yet either. Hold tight for now.
OUT Utah Memphis LA Clippers Nets
Remaining Teams (not in any order) Denver - really need to add money or you are out. Minny - some questions about playing other players out of position. Washington - some questions about playing players out of position. Orlando - playing time questions LA Lakers - Seem like a pretty good fit all around. Miami - Seem like a good fit all around also.

We play him like the Magic play Rashard Lewis. -- so he would be a great fit and play around 35-40 minutes a night If he wants a championsship and be the second best player on the team ( and not play in the shadow of Lebron and Kobe or rebuild somewhere) come to Orlando. Expected Starting lineup: PG Ford/Turkoglu (as point forward) SG Richardson/Gay SF Turkoglu/Gay/Artest PF/SF Artest/Maxiell C Dwight/Davis hope u see how well he fits as a PF playing more like a SF like Rashard and gettin a lot of open shots! As we have curiously missed out on brand and Arenas, we wish to sign Artest!

Just happen to post a trade involving thaddeus young but i got Luol Deng back. I intend to trade him for a young SG. Even if i don't, i expect to play artest at the SF spot. Line up in mind: PG: D. Will [90] SG: Garcia [73] or new SG SF: Ron Ron PF: LaMarcus Aldridge[85] (recently traded) C: Big Al [87] 6th man: Luol Deng [81]

Alright, Decision time! First off let me say, this has been really difficult. All 4 remaining teams are STRONG options for Ron. Because of this, we really had to nit pick to figure out what the best option is. Keep in mind, all 4 would have been acceptable to Ron, there just had to be one that was "the best." Here we go.
Minny - We see you made a trade, but we see Deng as a clear SF, Aldridge has PF obviously and Al Jeff at C. While you WANT to trade Deng for a SG, we're not convinced it will be too easy with that contract. You simply don't have a place to play Ron right now, in our opinion.
Orlando - Very similar to Minny, you just don't have a place for Ron right now. And if you just shove him in PF, the lineup still is unbalanced and you move an 80+ player to the bench in doing so. We can not give him to you based on the fact that you "could" make a trade to clear up space. We have to make our decision based on what is there right now. Sorry, again, you would be a good fit, just not the best out there.
LA Lakers - You almost got Artest, but ultimately, he wants the best chance at a title as is possible, and you are just not quite there yet. We love your core, and recommend you just keep at it. Arenas with Horford and Bynum down low is really a good trio, and Stephen Curry will probably be a very nice SG type. You have a lot of cap space available still this season, and another 15 mil coming off the books next season. Good luck to you!
Miami - Ron just could not pass up this team with how it is constructed, after signing some legitimate bench players. To be honest, if you would not have gotten Kleiza and Bobby Jackson, or players of similar rating, for your bench, Ron would have gone to the Lakers. But, the league foolishly let you get two great bench players who can cover PG/SG (Jackson) and SG/SF/PF (Kleiza). With Andre Miller being a perfect pass-first PG, Kobe an incredible scoring SG with ballhandling skills, and the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league, LeBron as the best player in the league who can just do anything he wants on the court, and Camby to be a defensive force in the post, this team is too good now that it has a bench.
We would like to thank all who offered their teams to Mr. Artest, but the tough decision has finally been made.
(BTW, this pains me greatly having Miami get even better in my own division, but unfortunately, this is the most similar to what Artest did IRL (going to an already great team), so it made sense to do it here).
