Second Round Rookie Scale:
Our 2nd round picks will have either 2 or 3 year contracts in length. I am giving you the option to sign your player to 1 of 2 deals (listed below). Once you agree to sign your drafted player, please add him to your salary chart ASAP. Also, make sure you clarify which years are team options by denoting the salary for that year in RED.
The team has the option of signing the player to one of two deals:
Deal #1:
$500,000
$500,000
Deal #2:
$500,000
$600,000
$700,000 (Team Option)
The benefit of Deal #2, is that you avoid paying a much larger sum of money in the third season, should they be a 2nd round steal. Deal #1 on the other hand is cheaper, but should they pan out, you will have to give them the big bucks a year earlier than if you pay the extra bit for Deal #2.
