MLE? If you are using the MLE you need to state that you are. Also, the MLE is 5 million per year total.

Well that's just bullshit...a whole stratgey down the drain. It says Another exception you can use to go over the soft cap is the Larry Bird exception. The player in question must have played three seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent. Traded players have their bird rights traded with them.rimrocker13.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=1198966863I went by what they said...I guess if the rules are changing on me give him the MLE but I call BS.

3 years on your team. This league has only been in affect for 1 season.

That's not stated...Mourning has played for the Heat 3 years so has Jason Williams.

I will ask Toronto to make a ruling, but its to my knowledge that he must be on your roster in this league for 3 years for bird rights to be in affect. I guess I will get back to you.

maybe it's okay to go use bird rights if you have the players from your own team from beg.
like Kobe, if he had been FA this year and was still on my team I can use bird rights to re-sign him.
but maybe say CHI has Kobe via trade, he has to wait for 3 years (in this league) to re-sign Kobe.

I took it as if you had them on your roster for 3 years (real life or not) then you could use your bird rights.....It will **** my stratgey up if it changes but I can deal I guess if I have too.

I don't even know why we have that rule, but since we had it posted I guess we have to allow it. That rule will be removed for next off-season. Alonzo accepts and is looking forward to ending his career as a Heat. Upate your salary chart ASAP
