I was expecting NBA Live to finally make another game for the PC especially since they took last year off to supposedly make the PC game better. Looks like there won't be a PC game this year so if 2k10 will allow all teams to be user controlled I'll be switching over to that engine IF it proves to be a better overall sim. I'd like some league input on this. Should I just make the switch or keep on using Live 07 or something else?

y not use live 08's updated roster? that's what he's using right now. he's considering an engine change. If anything NBA Live 07 is more realistic then anything. I would NEVER EVER go anywhere near NBA 2k, the ratings are not realistic and everyone is their OVERRATED. A guy like Dooling is rated 80 and he is not a great player AT ALL.

yeah just keep the 07... i think if we will be using 2k10 there will be a major change on the way this league is going,... but why don't you just try the 2k10 then tell us your experience?

Keep 07, the ratings are gonna be really different from what we already have.

I have to change the player ratings before every season anyway.

Its gonna be different but why not wait til after people have had experience with 2k10. I understand the ratings are really funny but I say lets see what 2k10 brings to the table first. Why not right? :/

Ok, I just got 2k10 (only NBA game for PC this year) and here are the sim results for an entire season (12 min quarters). APGBPGORPGPPGRPGSPGIf you have any questions let me know now because I am heavily leaning towards using this sim engine. I only saw one real questionable stat and that was Bosh getting 14+ rpg but I'd just chalk that up to a career year. The scoring might be a little high but who doesn't like a little more scoring. Here were the playoff teams:Lakers Jazz Rockets Warriors Nuggets Trailblazers Spurs Hornets Hawks Raptors (losing record) Bobcats Magic Cavaliers Wizards Celtics Bulls

NBA Finals
Nuggets vs. Hawks (best record in league)
Hawks win in 7

In defense of the Hawks they had to beat the Raptors in the first round, went to game 7 with the Magic, went to game 6 with Boston, and went 7 games with Denver. Joe Johnson went crazy and Crawford chipped in with a few big games too. I don't think the Hawks will win it all IRL at least not this year but this scenario isn't so far out there.
I will sim a RimRocker season to see if it still stays realistic.

Seems fairly accurate. Not sure how 4 guys get over 10 assists and another two over 9.5...but CP3 only had 7.5 a game? He leads the league in assists IRL so to be like 3 fewer than the leader this year seems a little weird.
But w/o knowing ratings or anything and only seeing stats, nothing looks too crazy generally.

I'm down with it. Stats are relatively higher than they'd normally be, but GM's love that. Also gives this league a taste of something other leagues don't have.

Also, I can control the primacy problems since I can distribute minutes to each player.
