ESPN ESPN is reporting a story involving Suns center Dikemba Mutombo, The Miami Heat GM, and the Phoenix Suns GM. It's reported that Heat GM Charles Boen is in love with Mutombo and has been trying to get him for some time. "He's more than just an expiring contract" Boen said "He plays so hard and is such a good defensive player is valuable in this league." I guess the Suns agree because they have yet to trade Mutombo and it's pissing Dikemba off. We couldn't understand what he was saying but we are pretty sure he wants to wave his finger in Miami. The Suns declined to comment but Boen did have this to say about the commish of the league "He knows how to push my buttons." Is there really a rivalry between the Heat and Suns? No one knows but the GM's themselves but right now both teams have the best record in there respective conferences. They also seem to be the leaders on opposite sides of important league issues such as Trades getting accepted or rejected, The Odom/Marion issue, and of course the biggest one ever the infamous Toronto/Minnesota deal that send Josh Howard to Minny for 2 picks and 4 young players. If it happened this could be one of the most interesting finals ever especially if Mutombo decided not to play against Miami as he as threatened if they made it to the finals against each other. There nothing the Suns could really do since most doubt they pick up Mutombo's option anyways. Should be interesting to see, but is a very hot rivalry is brewing? I guess we will have to find out.
