-----------------------------------Top Ten------------------------------------
1 Toronto
This team just keeps winning no matter how much the roster is shaken up. Bosh is playing like a superstar.
2 Detroit
Very solid roster and poised to get better when Gasol comes back from injury. With a flurry of trades the Detroit GM has created a roster that should always find at least one or two good matchups, no matter who they play. The average rating of Detroit’s five starters is a lofty 86 and they are my pick to win the East.
3 Atlanta
Off-season moves have propelled this perennial cellar-dweller into a serious contender. From Iverson running the show to Yao in the paint, it is hard to find a weakness in this roster. I look for this team to keep improving and have a strong playoff run, but I think they will eventually lose to one of the traditional Eastern-Conference powers.
4 Boston
This GM has transformed an already formidable roster into a very balanced and potent combination of defensive and offensive supremacy. With KG, Pierce, Miller, and now Kidd, this team as a very real chance to win the championship.
5 Denver
Playing very well. AI for Bibby looks like a good move early into this season.
6 Cleveland
This GM went out and got Lebron some much needed help by trading overrated Hughes for Boris Diaw and Stephon Jackson. This team has won some very important game even when James was injured, and I look for them to do very well in April.
7 Phoenix
Adding Ron Artest to this roster might be what it takes to finally win a Championship.
8 Houston
Allen, Mcgrady, and Wallace is a very strong nucleus. I look for McGrady to make his first Conference Finals.
9 San Antonio
It will be interesting to see if the Spurs do as well without Tim Duncan.
10 New Orleans
This completely overhauled roster looks to make some noise in the Western Conference Playoffs. Can Shaq carry them all the way?
---------------------Bottom Three---------------
28 Seattle
This young roster will get the final piece they need to be competitive in the 2008 draft. Adding Rose or Mayo to Wilcox, Durant, Lewis, and Wright will turn this franchise around.
29 Minnesota
This young roster should improve with time. Beasley could really help this team.
30 Sacramento
Their former GM has destroyed this roster and unfortunately I can’t see this team getting better anytime soon.
