4 Atlanta
Off-season moves have propelled this perennial cellar-dweller into a serious contender. From Iverson running the show to Yao in the paint, it is hard to find a weakness in this roster. I look for this team to keep improving and have a strong playoff run, but I think they will eventually lose to one of the traditional Eastern-Conference powers.
3 Toronto
This team just keeps winning no matter how much the roster is shaken up. Bosh is playing like a superstar. Their large lead was eclipsed by Detroit and Cleveland in a matter of days, but look for them to make some noise in the playoffs.
2 Detroit
The recent trade acquiring O’Neal will give this team more athleticism and the increased shot-blocking at the Center position should help this team in the playoffs. This great team may not even win their division because of the Cav’s great season.
