After trading both there franchise players they had to start the year (Melo and Amare) for two more who are just as good if not better (Lebron and Gasol) you think the Heat would be done trading. Far from it, as GM Charles Boen says with a wiley smile. "I'm pretty happy with the core right now, I think Lebron and Pau will be here for a while." said the first year Heat GM. After a 5 point lose to the Bobcats, the known feud between the GM and Forward Matt Barnes, and the fact that Boen wants Lebron at the SF it's fair to say that The Heat are looking for a 2 guard. Wally would fit in perfectly as he can hit the open 3 when there are doubles on Pau or Lebron. Everyone knows Boen likes to have 1 swingman that is a stud and the other to be a Wally type guy. "Wally is a hell of a basketball player and that's all I have to say about it." said Boen. The hold up appears to be salaries, (though that has never stopped Boen before) the fact the Knicks want a 1st, and if the Heat give up a 1st how much value are they getting Aaron Miles? "I don't know about Aaron Miles, I have to study him somemore." is what Boen said. I think it's fair to say that the Heat will be looking to give up some of there expiring contracts (The Damon's or Starbury, though we know the Knicks GM hates Marbury.) and a 1st to get Wally, Aaron Miles, and 2nd round picks. The funny thing about all this is Boen sent Wally to Miami earlier in the year. Days after acquiring Wally from the Sonics, The Trade of Tyrus Thomas, Jared Jeffries, and current starting PG Stephon Marbury to Miami for Wally, Peja Stojakovic, and Nick Young was completed. If Wally comes back to Miami I bet the stay will be longer this time around and I doubt Lebron or Pau Gasol will be complaining.
