We'd like to offer Chris the following deal:
2009/2010: $2,500,000 (MLE) 2010/2011: $3,500,000 (MLE) 2011/2012: $4,500,000 (MLE)
Total: $10,500,000
We offer Chris the chance to be a vital backup and play a very similar role to the one he had in Denver.

The New Jersey Nets would also like to offer Mr. Anderson...
09/10: $4,000,000 10/11: $5,000,000 11/12: $6,000,000 12/13: $6,500,000 (player option)
4 years / $21,500,000
The Nets organization want Chris to be a large part of this team's current and future success. He would automatically be the backup PF and C. His defense is sorely needed on a young team without a big energy player. He would also get free tattoos (lifetime).
Team Salaries Before Anderson (including all options and recent draft picks): 09/10: $54,837,681 10/11: $52,750,446 11/12: $49,716,720 12/13: $37,266,160 13/14: $8,000,000 14/15: $0

The Kings are offering Chris Anderson the full mid-level exception of $5,854,000 for 1 year.
09/10: $5,854,000
Team Salaries before signing 09/10: $71,658,800
The Kings want Chris to compete with Nick Collison for the starting center position. With the 1-4 consisting of Hinrich, Kevin Martin, Richard Jefferson, and Luis Scola, Chris could make a huge difference with his athleticism. He also would have a bench behind him off young talent like Jason Thompson, Azuikuke, Salmons, Stuckey and Dejaun Blair. His shot blocking and defense will help emphasize Martin and Jefferson's ability to get on the fast break and get to the free throw line. He would have a chance to shine on a playoff level team and greatly improve his stock for next offseason. Looking at what he has been offered, he seems much more valuable than 2-3 million. We would also look into signing him to a long term deal next year due to having very few long term contracts.

The OKC Thunder would like to offer the full MLE, 2 year deal to Chris Anderson. He would be joining a team that is poised for a championship run for sure. He would be our #1 big man off the bench and would also be slated for spot starts if Shaq needs a day off or has an injury.
Year 1 $5,854,000 MLE Year 2 $5,854,000
Total $11,708,000

The Los Angeles Clippers would also like to make a play for Chris.
2009/2010: $7,000,000 2010/2011: $8,000,000 (TO)
Total: $7,000,000
Chris will be our starting center and get a chance to boost his stock for the 2010 FA class. He'd also get most of the touches when we feed the ball down low.

Phoenix - What exactly is your depth chart looking like at PF and C? You have Duncan (PF/C) and Chandler (C/C?) and Jeff Green (SF/PF) who can all play minutes in the front-court. Just how much time is Chris going to get with you? Are you going to have Green be only a SF so that Chris gets all the backup PF/C minutes, or what? Also, in light of OKC offering on him, he see's a situation where he's the clear cut first big off the bench, and getting a lot more money. Update your offer to be more like full MLE, or you are out of the running.
New Jersey - We also need more money from you if you are to stay in the running. Also, who is your starting C? We understand Griffin has the PF position, rightfully so, but why would Chris be coming off the bench? We don't see anyone better than him at C.
Philly 76ers - WITHDRAWN
Sacramento - We need at the very least, 2 years of contract. We'd prefer a 3 or 4 year deal if you are serious about my client's services...but we won't even continue talking without at least a 2nd year in the contract.
LA Clippers - Chris is generally more comfortable as an energy man off the bench, but might consider coming to LA. Still, he would need at least a guaranteed 2nd year, since he can get at least that much from a few other teams. If you up the offer to at least 2 guaranteed years (with more like 5 million a year is fine) we will keep talking/thinking about your team, if not, we won't.
OKC Thunder - You currently have probably the best chance at getting my client's services, based on the money, length of contract, and playing situation available. Sit tight for now, and we'll ask questions if needed the next time through negotiations.

If he wants more money then we can accommodate your client. I was expecting to sign O'Neal and since that didn't work out Anderson will now be the starting center if he signs with Thomas coming off the bench.

We would also like to add that Anderson is a good complement to Blake Griffin. Anderson is a good rebounder and good defender/shot blocker. Griffin is more of a scoring big man who needs to work on his defense. Both are athletic and can out jump a lot of people. Chalmers is known as a good passer and good outside shooter along with being a good defender. There should be plenty of Chalmers to Birdman calls all season long.

If Chris wants more years on his contract we could consider that. Maybe making it a 3 year contract for the full MLE and the last two years being a player option. Our organization is going to have more money to spend next offseason with Tim Thomas off the books. We feel that if Chris comes to Sacramento, he'll win the starting center job and greatly increase his value for next season. But if he wants more security then we can make it a 3 year deal looking like the one below.
Year 1: $5,854,000 Year 2: $5,854,000 (PO) Year 3: $5,854,000 (PO)
A depth chart as this would certainly be in the playoffs while having both youth and veteran leaders:
PG: Kirk Hinrich --- Rodney Stuckey --- George Hill SG: Kevin Martin --- John Salmons SF: Richard Jefferson --- Kelenna Azuibuke --- PF: Luis Sola --- Jason Thompson --- DeJaun Blair C: Chris Anderson --- Nick Collison

76ers - Withdrew, so obviously they're out of the running.
LAC - Unfortunately, you have not responded. However, we likely would not have signed with you anyway. We would rather be a key reserve type of role for a competing team than a starter on a team destined for the lottery. Thank you, but good luck elsewhere.
PHX - You have not responded at all. We find this disturbing, as you were one of the front-runners for Chris' services. But, since we have offers for twice as much money out there, with similar PT, you are eliminated.
NJN - With Frye and Griffin in NJ, plus solid guys like Brandan Wright and Kurt Thomas, Chris feels like he would basically be overkill. He'd also prefer to go to a little bit of a better team, and likes the Western Conference more as well. Thank you.
SAC - You are a solid option for Chris, but we feel you are not quite as competitive as OKC is for the next year or two. We also have to fight through Scola/Thompson/Thomas/Collison/Rasho/Blair to get minutes in Sac...while we don't have that problem in OKC. Thank you, but just not quite this time.
OKC - Chris is the clear first option off the bench at both PF and C for your team, and that made the difference. Congratulations, he is yours.
