Fine, then if what Griffin is doing is such a big concern to Brand then I withdraw my offer. I already stated more than once that Brand would be the starting power forward as long as he wants to be.

I don't think either myself or PHX is asking for an offer to be withdrawn, and I know Mr. Brand appreciates the interest you have shown. We understand you would like to make Elton your starting PF, but we have to ask again, what would you do with Blake Griffin? We feel it would be unwise if you relegated him to a backup role on such a young team, costing him development time, or if you played him out of position, sapping some value from him. The player agents simply wondered what you would do about Blake Griffin, and you refused to really answer the question.
Feel free to put your offer back on the table, and please answer what you plan would be as far as playing time and playing position for Brand and Griffin.

First of all, not starting him in a sim league does absolutely nothing to his development time. If he develops or doesn't develop in real life is the ONLY factor in his rating changing. I have absolutely no idea what I'd do with Griffin if Brand signed. I'd try him out at center to see if that would work and if it didn't he'd be the first player off the bench and still get his 20-25 minutes a game. He is a rookie and he still needs to work on his game, especially his defense. If I had Brand I wouldn't need to rush him into the starting lineup or even rush him by giving him starting minutes. Obviously I want Griffin to get playing time since he is the 2nd best player on my current roster. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.

Houston Here's how Elton would rank the offers so far: 1) New York 2) Houston 3) New Jersey 4) Orlando well ok, we really want brand - can you please descride why we are only 4th??? we offer a MAX contract for a player with 29 year, which could be the last contract of his career! 25millions is the most he can make in a year. He would be the second best player and will get plenty of touches (Howard is more a defender, Ford is a pass-first-PG, Gay will start on the bench) in a potential championsship-year! anyway i now add player options after every of the 3 years - for a shorter contract - as wanted! The Orlando Magic offer for Elton Brand two deals to choose from: DEAL1: Year 1 = $14,000,000 Year 2 = $17,000,000 Year 3 = $20,000,000 (PO) Year 4 = $23,000,000 (PO) Year 5 = $25,000,000 (PO) year 6 = $21,000,000 (PO) >>> Maximum ALL guaranted $120,000,000 over 6 yearsand to show even more love we offer a second deal...so that his player agent and he can choose from it: DEAL 2: Year 1 = $16,000,000 Year 2 = $19,000,000 Year 3 = $22,000,000 Year 4 = $25,000,000 (PO) >>> $82,000,000 ALL guarented incl. a Player Option after year 3we offer: + starting PF! + play for the Championship team! + Co-Capatin role on our team! + as he wants a shorter contract he can opt out after season 2 and each other one! + two deal to choose from...$120,000,000 is the maximum he can get! Which offer he wants more?

NY Knicks would like to inform E. Brand that the team need his skill especially the low post area and we lack the inside muscle near the ring a need/must for the team. More likely he will have not too much competition and can't comprise that much for other players of the team making him more comfortable in his position also Durant want to have somebody inside so he can make more use of skills and be assured that there is someone near the low post to pass and assure someone can score the inside.
modified offer: changing TO to PO to be more a guaranteed contract

comparisons to other teams: New york: guaranted money: guaranted only 45mill; play second fidle next to Durant... does brand really wanna rebuild another team...he already played for the bulls, clippers and 76ers...never had a chance for the title...and Orlando offers up $75,000,000 more than NYK! Houston: We offer up to 76,500,000 more money and a better shot at the title! New Jersey: we offer up to $70,000,000 more money and a much better title shot! besides in njn there is blake griffin... conclusio:Orlando offers: -- BIGGEST $$$ MONEY offer -- two great offers to choose from -- Championsship caliber team! -- Starting PF spot, first offensive option!so if he wants to win, and with 30 years of age, i guess he does and wants to earn big money, we love to welcome him!

Orlando to be honest, we're probably not going to let you pay that much to Brand considering his Real Life production lately. Yes, you are offering the most money, but it's unrealistic. Just so you know, that's all.

Orlando to be honest, we're probably not going to let you pay that much to Brand considering his Real Life production lately. Yes, you are offering the most money, but it's unrealistic. Just so you know, that's all. all trades in the offseason i have made were to secure Brand's signature, thats why we dont have a PF! i always planned to sign him for the max deal...now even nyk offers 87mills please player agent, tell me for what contract Elton wants to sign for us! it would be ridiculous to go for a rebuilding team like new york...brand always only played for young medicore teams, now he deserves a shot at the title... we now offer 3 deals for him: The Orlando Magic offer for Elton Brand two deals to choose from: DEAL1:Year 1 = $14,000,000 Year 2 = $17,000,000 Year 3 = $20,000,000 (PO) Year 4 = $23,000,000 (PO) Year 5 = $25,000,000 (PO) year 6 = $21,000,000 (PO) >>> Maximum ALL guaranted $120,000,000 over 6 years DEAL 2:Year 1 = $16,000,000 Year 2 = $18,000,000 Year 3 = $20,000,000 Year 4 = $22,000,000 (PO) Year 5 = $20,000,000 (PO) >>> $96,000,000 ALL guarented incl. a Player Option after year 3 and 4 DEAL 3:Year 1 = $16,000,000 Year 2 = $19,000,000 Year 3 = $22,000,000 Year 4 = $25,000,000 (PO) >>> $82,000,000 ALL guarented incl. a Player Option after year 3 we offer: + starting PF! + play for the Championship team! + Co-Capatin role on our team! + as he wants a shorter contract he can opt out after season 2 and each other one! + two deal to choose from...$120,000,000 is the maximum he can get! if he wants another deal - post or PM me the deal he wants...we already offer the best chance for a title and the best money - so we hope he signs with us soon...let me know thx

I agree with Houston, those contracts are ridiculous. 25M for this season alone but 4 years down the road? Anyways, Elton will make his decision within the next few days.

The Memphis Grizzlies would like to offer Elton Brand a 4 year contract worth $66,000,000.
Year 1: $15,000,000 Year 2: $16,000,000 Year 3: $17,000,000 Year 4: $18,000,000
Grizzlies Team Salaries without Brand (including all options and draft picks):
09/10 Total Salary: $37,484,980 10/11 Total Salary: $38,740,824 11/12 Total Salary: $34,379,960 12/13 Total Salary: $29,486,120
We would like to let Elton know that we were very interested in his services from day 1 of free agency, as he is the best PF on the market and we really need a star PF that can score on the inside. However we were scared off by Orlando's huge offer and thought that we would not have a chance to compete with them as we were not ready to offer you that much money.
But as it seems that money is not that important to you we decided to offer you a 4 year contract. We can't offer Elton the chance to win a championship this year but with a young core of Flynn, Brooks, Rush, Gallinari, Clark, Johnson, Biedrins and a lot of cap room, we feel that he could lead our team to great success down the road as a mentor to our youngsters and possibly to the playoffs this year. Elton will start at PF and will get as much touches and minutes as we wants as our best player.
As Elton doesnt want to be tied to one team for too long we are only offering him a 4 year contract with the last 2 being player option in case he wants to test free agency again. We can also add a 5th year at 19 mio if Elton prefers to get more guaranted money.
