Offer: 43,500,000 for 4 years
Year 1 = 9,500,000 Year 2 = 10,500,000 Year 3 = 11,500,000 (PO) Year 4 = 12,000,000
Total for 08/09 = 57,515,000 09/10 = 33,335,000 10/11 = 11,500,000 (with the PO) 11/12 = 12,000,000
Elton Brand would be our start PF and would make this team even stronger with a good starting 5 with a great playmaker in Nash, a good SF in Howard and a great scoring center in Okur. We add a PO in the 3rd year in case that he wants to try something new.

I know that everybody can offer what they want to, but that doesnt mean that it should destroy the league with unrealistic salaries.

I know that everybody can offer what they want to, but that doesnt mean that it should destroy the league with unrealistic salaries. thats why we have a hard cap and restrictions (25mll. highest salary) im aware of that and i built a team with low salaries for a max PF! but i understand u if u trying to argument to get him to HOU. Still there are 3 important parts of Free Agency: 1st (an this tops the most): MONEY 2nd PLAYING TIME 3rd the overall STRENGHTS of a team ...and 4th maybe the climate... we offer all aspects and want Brand at all costs!

Thats not an argument for me to get him, after ur offer I'm almost sure that I have no chance now, but if I were the admin I wouldnt want to have unrealistic salaries, like players who we dont even hear about anymore getting the max money...

The Nets would like to offer Mr. Brand a contract worth 50 million over 4 years
09/10: $10,000,000 10/11: $12,000,000 11/12: $13,500,000 12/13: $14,500,000 (team option)
The team option is insurance for the Nets organization in case of a needed rebuilding effort. Brand would hopefully be paired with another big man which will allow Blake Griffin to grow into the starting rotation. Brand would give the Nets a much needed superstar at either the power forward or center position. He would be the undisputed face of the franchise and wouldn't have to fight for minutes or points as he would on other teams.
Team Salaries Before Brand (including all options and recent draft picks): 09/10: $54,837,681 10/11: $52,750,446 11/12: $49,716,720 12/13: $37,266,160 13/14: $8,000,000 14/15: $0
Again: Priority List is 1) Danny Granger, 2) Gilbert Arenas, 3) Elton Brand

Houston - We like your offer very much and Elton will mull over the offer over the next few days.
Orlando - Elton doesn't want to be commited to a team for that long, we like the money but we'd prefer a shorter contract that's in the range of 3-4 years. He also doesn't see a lot of touches on offence available for him with the likes of Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkgolu, Rudy Gay and TJ Ford also needing their touches.
New Jersey Elton sees that the Nets already have Blake Griffen at PF. That could mean Elton potentially playing at C which he doesn't want to do at this point in his career where his body is very fragile.
New York - Like Orlando, Elton doesn't want to be committed to a team for 5 years. He's looking for a shorter contract. However, Elton feels that the Knicks have a nice young nucleus and would love to play in New York City as one of the team's top players.
Here's how Elton would rank the offers so far:
1) New York 2) Houston 3) New Jersey 4) Orlando

What happens to Blake Griffen? Will he be backing up Elton for the next 4 years?

I really don't see what Griffin has to do with this if Brand gets his way. I'm trying to sign other players too that will fill out the starting rotation. Griffin doesn't need to start right away.

But he will eventually start right? That means Elton will either move to the bench or have to play C, which he doesn't want to do.

Elton brand is our 1st priority in this FA for sure.

But he will eventually start right? That means Elton will either move to the bench or have to play C, which he doesn't want to do. Again, I don't see your point. Brand is guaranteed the starting PF spot on the Nets for as long as he's on the team. Period. Making assumptions about who will start when he's gone is very pointless.

As another player agent in the league, as you yourself are, you should be well aware that a player has every right to know what the team he might sign with plans to do with other players on the team. Griffin can start right now for your team, and his only natural position is PF. Mr. Brand has stated in these discussions that his preferred position is also PF. Again, Elton and his agent have every right to question what the Nets would do with a young, stud, 1st overall pick in the draft, that is ready to start at PF for a lot of teams in the league. If nothing else, even as his backup, Blake Griffin would likely eat into a lot of playing time. Another concern for Mr. Brand is that by him playing so much, it could stunt the growth of Mr. Griffin, which would ultimately just hurt the Nets. If he would decide to play with the Nets, why would he want to hurt the team by being there?
