The Thunder would like to offer Lamar Odom basically all of the cap space we have available.
Year 1 $5,000,000 Year 2 $6,000,000 Year 3 $7,000,000 Year 4 $8,000,000
Total $26,000,000
While I would even personally argue that Lamar is probably worth more, we would love to bring him back and hope that the alure of playing for a championship this upcoming season be the difference maker. He would obviously be the starting PF and one of the franchise players. Shaq and T-Mac are getting older so there is definitely room for him to become the absolute cornerstone of the franchise.

Mr. Odom definitely wants more money but winning another championship is also a priority. If the 2nd and 3rd year were player options my client would be more inclined to accept your offer. Shaq and McGrady are very injury prone and/or at the end of their careers. The player options would give Lamar much wanted security in case the Thunder don't compete or a key player decides to walk after the year.

We understand that Lamar is probably worth more money but our hands are tied. If making year 2 and 3 player options would get Mr. Odom to return, we will be glad to make those consessions. New offer:
Year 1 $5,000,000 Year 2 $6,000,000 (player option) Year 3 $7,000,000 (player option) Year 4 $8,000,000
Total $26,000,000 over 4 years with years 2 and 3 being player options.
