It's fair but I like it for Dallas, he needed a change while the Spurs didn't. I think Dirk plays real well with Kidd so I don't see why SA would trade him. Also Dallas plans to play Dirk at SF, which I feel is his natural position and he should do well there.

I find it even all around. Brook Lopez will probably be one of the better C's in the game when he develops a little bit (rated 77-81 range?) so he's a pretty decent part of the deal.

I really think it worked out for both teams as well. Im just saying in my opinion Howards ratings are only going to increase while Dirks will stay the same or decrease.

To be honest, don't really like this trade for either teams. Here's why:
1. SA was doing great and was one of the top teams in the league, why break it up for a struggling Howard?
2. DAL is gonna have to play either Bosh or Dirk out of position. Dirk would get owned defensively at C or SF. Bosh's body isn't built to play C either. Lopez isn't gonna be able to reach his full potential playing behind Dirk or Bosh.
I voted for Dallas though.

I disagree on DAL's perspective, Dirk works well at SF and C, I am not sure how well at SF but at Center he can give you 20 and 10. you know I have Dirk in D5 PHX, and dirk got me 23 and 9.7 rebounds at Center, so you don't have to worry about production from him at Center, now SF he should be good but his production should dip a little, not a lot though.

yeah i see from both perspectives, i just had to make a move. Howard was definitley not getting utilized at all- and this deal seemed like the right one to make. I get a solid rookie center and dirk who is very versatile..... first game together they all played decent. Also upped manus production, which is very nice

www.geocities.com/dynfive/stats/pstat005.txtthat's my team with Dirk at Center. If DAL could find a decent SF for Lopez then he could consider moving Dirk to Center. but right now his team is all well and good, so I won't comment on it further.
