We would like to offer Craig Smith a contract as our front line is really thin and he'd play a ton of the bench.
Year 1: $1,000,000 Year 2: $1,000,000 Year 3: $1,000,000
Total: $3,000,000

The Miami Heat will like to offer Craig Smith a 3 Year Deal worth $3,125,000.
Year 1: $1,000,000 (MLE) Year 2: $1,000,000 Year 3: $1,250,000
Total: $3,250,000
Craig can serve as a backup PF/C and have a chance to start at C if he can beat out or we don't sign Kristic. As I said he can become the starting Center with hard work, In Memphis he will be behind Swift and/or Camby.

The Miami Heat will like to offer Craig Smith a 3 Year Deal worth $4,750,000
Year 1: $1,500,000 (MLE) Year 2: $1,500,000 Year 3: $1,750,000
Total: $4,750,000
Smith will NOT start for the Grizzles, he may start for the Heat. Either way he is for sured being the backup PF/C on each team, but with Miami he has a chance to start. Also throw in the fact that we are a better team should make his choice an easy one.
PS. I will have a roster spot pending my trade with the Nets.

Not have a chance to start? Please...I have garbage, also known as, Stromile Swift there. He has just as good of a chance at starting for the grizz as he does for the heat. What a horrible and inaccurate statement to make. Either way he will see major playing time as he will be our first PF off of the bench. We would like to up the offer:
Year 1: $1,250,000 Year 2: $1,500,000 Year 3: $1,750,000 Year 4: $2,000,000
Total: $6,500,000

The Miami Heat will like to offer Craig Smith a 6 Year Deal worth $6,750,000
Year 1: $1,00,000 (MLE) Year 2: $1,000,000 Year 3: $1,000,000 Year 4: $1,000,000 Year 5: $1,250,000 Year 6: $1,500,000
Total: $6,750,000
Whatever you say about Swift, he is still a 72. Kristc and Smith are rated the same, right now Kristc would get the job strictly because he is taller but if Smith works hard there no way he won't start at C or start at PF with Amare at C. You also have to remember Mr. Smith look at where your going if you go to Memphis, your going to the draft lottery. Come out East, be on a playoff team, and have a chance to compete next year for real.
PS. I will have a roster spot pending my trade with the Nets.

The Miami Heat will like to offer Craig Smith a 6 Year Deal worth $11,250,000
Year 1: $1,25,000 (MLE) Year 2: $1,500,000 Year 3: $1,750,000 Year 4: $2,000,000 Year 5: $2,250,000 Year 6: $2,500,000

Again you will have a chance to start with the Heat, why would you want to go to one of these crappy teams? We are by far the best, can you imagine playing with Amare and Melo?

Just voicing an opinion...and this isn't directed towards you specifically Clipps...but why go over the previous offer by like 5,000,000 ? It's just throwing money around when it's not necessary. Why not just match the previous best offer or beat it by 500,000 or a million or so. Just my opinion, and a general thought, again not directed at you Clippers.
Later.
