Would like to offer him a 3 year deal worth 15 Million (VIA MLE.)
Year 1: $5,000,000 Year 2: $5,000,000 Year 3: $5,000,000
Total: $15,000,000
We feel like JR is the missing piece of us to be a true contender in the Eastern Conference. Reuniting him with Carmelo Anthony and putting him on are our tempo team (Rondo/Melo/Amare/Kaman) will allow his abilities to shine. JR will get plenty of chances to score in the open court and when people double team Melo/Amare for the open 3 (his specialty.) Smith was a player we tried to get from the Suns for a while and feel like he is a key piece to our success here in Miami.

The Charlotte Bobcats would like to offer JR Smith a 3 year contract worth $16,500,000 guaranteed.
Year 1: $5,000,000 Year 2: $5,500,000 Year 3: $6,000,000
We feel we need a legitimate scoring threat at SG, since we have 3 of the best defenders at their respective positions in the NBA in Emeka, Gerald Wallace, and Chris Paul. JR is that scoring threat, and plays some pretty good D himself. This will be a key piece to our young starting core going forward. This would also solidify our lineup in a big way. Hawes, Emeka, Gerald, JR, CP3 gives a solid lineup of height, scoring, and defense spread throughout the guards and forward/centers.
He WILL be our starting SG.

The Miami Heat would like to offer JR Smith a 6 year deal worth 35,750,000 Million (VIA MLE.)
Year 1: $5,000,000 Year 2: $5,250,000 Year 3: $5,500,000 Year 4: $5,750,000 Year 5: $6,000,000 Year 6: $6,250,000
Total: $33,750,000
He WILL be our starting SG and will have tons of success in Miami, going to the Bobcats he won't be on nearly as good of a team.

umm, at least update your offer total at the top. It says 15 million then you offer 17 million
regardless...read the rules
Mid-Level Exception
May be used to sign any FA. $5,250,000 a year with a maximum raise of $250,000.
your offer is not valid, exceeds the raise of 250,000
Also, i resent that last line of your post. Won't be on nearly as good of a team. hmmph....that's just bad manners. I like my team a lot though.
At least the Bobcats organization can read directions and rules.

Well at least the Heat Organization can spell "startng" If JR wants to get an education then he should come to Miami! You can probably outbid me but my offer for JR if he wants to be a Heat and win a title, if he wants to go to the Kitties and get Amare/Melo dunking in his face then so be it.

This is kind of sad...once AGAIN you can't read the rules. MAXIMUM RAISE OF 250,000...yet you go from 5,250,000 to 6,000,000...which is a raise of 750,000. An education? No offense to you, but a typo is much different from simple stupidity. Regardless, we're sure you'll EVENTUALLY fix your offer to be a correct and legal offer, so we'll update our offer.
The Charlotte Bobcats would like to offer JR Smith a contract of 6 years worth $25,000,000
Year 1: $5,000,000 Year 2: $3,000,000 Year 3: $3,500,000 Year 4: $4,000,000 Year 5: $4,500,000 Year 6: $5,000,000
Regardless of what the Miami Heat organization is spewing out of their mouths, this Charlotte Bobcats team is quite good, and have already gone to the playoffs in this league's short existence. JR is needed more on our team, as he'd be our best scorer. He'd be 3rd option at best on Miami...as a scorer he'd be our first option.
This is our preferred contract to offer for JR Smith, not the 3 year offer at the top. Please consider this offer as our best offer.

I don't withdraw my offer and JR is still my first priority, I did edit my offer to make it correct Bobcats sorry about that and I offered JR as much money as I could...if he wants to win he will have to take a little less money. If not best of Luck to JR with the Kitties and get ready to get dunked on.

If he wants to win, he can come to either team. Also, JR is probably as confused by your "dunked on" thing as I am, since he's a SG, Amare won't be anywhere close to dunking on him. Emeka will be destroying Amare and blocking everything he brings.

It means when we are running the ball down the court on a fast and see JR, whoever it is (Melo/Amare) will dunk ALL over him. How many winning seasons have the Bobcats have? The Heat won the title 3 years ago.

"Winning seasons have the Bobcats have"...another STELLAR example of the Heat organizations intelligence. If you're gonna use real life stuff like "The Heat won the title 3 years ago" then it's fair to say "The Heat are the WORST team in the NBA this year"
but then if I say that, you're gonna start talking about your team IN THIS LEAGUE, so to that I'll just say that the Bobcats have been to the playoffs IN THIS LEAGUE...have the Heat? No, the "Kitties" scratched and clawed their way to 13 more wins than the Heat last year IN THIS LEAGUE.
We rest our case.

The Twolves would like to offer JR Smith a contract of 6 years worth $25,000,000
Year 1: $5,250,000 Year 2: $4,750,000 Year 3: $4,000,000 Year 4: $4,000,000 Year 5: $4,000,000 Year 6: $3,000,000
After the potential (hopefully) signing of Deng, the Twolves realize they have enough money to pursue another quality wingman. The addition of JR Smith would be instrumental to our team, as it would allow Deng to move to SF and Yi to continue to mature by coming off the bench. The potential lineup of Telfair-JR-Deng-Beasley-Big Al would be a formidable threat to the Western Conference foes. The Twolves covet JR's offensive abilities and would get many opportunities to score with this lineup. JR Smith's offensive prowess/3 pt ability, athleticism of Deng at SF, the matchup nightmares created by Beasley & Yi, and the low post dominance of Big Al = defenses picking their poison
FA Signing order 1. Luol Deng 2. JR Smith

Ah, NEW competition for JR. We would like to point out we have been interested in JR from the beginning, and he is our 1st option...not 2nd or 3rd. Also, once again, JR will be our NUMBER 1 scoring option in the starting lineup. Our new offer follows.
The Charlotte Bobcats would like to offer JR Smith a contract of 6 years worth $25,000,000

JR smith will be your number 1 scoring option when you have cp3 and gerald wallace? How does that work out?

|
|
Post by Charlotte Bobcats on Mar 27, 2008 14:02:14 GMT -5
CP3 is a point guard first. he can definitely score, but he's a passer first, not a scorer first. Gerald is a defensive specialist who has made GREAT strides with his offense lately, I won't deny that or complain about it one bit. JR is a scoring SG and specializes in scoring. Strictly speaking, we envision JR being the first option coming down the floor to take a shot. Obviously we have other players who can score, or we'd lose games 70-20...

He accepts the Bobcats' offer as he feels they are truely interested in him and not just trying to buff up their roster. He feels he can get more money, but would love the chance to play with a great PG in CP3.
Update your charts ASAP.
