Officially, he's listed as a F. He'll play SG in my lineup. K.Mart got extended, so there went the best SG that was on the initial FA list

KMart was the best pure SG...Deng is probably better suited at SG than Smith overall...but Smith does play SG sort of depending on the situation.

I like Smith's athleticism and defensive ability. I'll have outside shooters in Yi, Beasley, and McCants.

We would also like to offer Josh Smith the maximum. We feel we have a better situation than any other team that is willing to offer the max. He fits into our lineup perfectly at PF being flanked by Marcus Camby at center, Richard Jefferson at SF, Rudy Gay at SG , and Mike Conley at PG. Our only hole is at PF. If he signs we become a legit contender out west.
Also, we are offering more money up front
Year 1 - $19,163,989 Year 2 - $20,836,011 Year 3 - $20,000,000 Year 4 - $20,000,000 Year 5 - $20,000,000 Year 6 - $20,000,000
Total - $120,000,000

If Smith comes to Indiana he can play his natural position of SF. Guess this is where the player agent is going to come into play!

Again, Smith will be a franchise player and will be treated like one in New Jersey. He will join an young team he will be able to grow with while starting at SF.

I offered him a deal, so now Phoenix is his agent. And I for one, am glad.

We've traded Danny Granger for Chris Kaman so now we are a more complete team. If you sign with the us you will be the starting SF guaranteed from day 1. We have a young athletic team and you would fit in perfectly to our system.

Minny- Josh loves the chance to play with Beasley and co but doesn't feel comfortable playing SG. He would also like to get more touches on offence but with Beasley, Big Al ahead of him it doesn't look like that would happen. Thanks for the interest in my client.
Memphis- Josh likes your offer but he feels out of position at PF and would like to get more shot attempts and we don't feel that would be possible with Gay and Jefferson getting the majority of the shots. Thanks for the interest in my client.
With that being said, New Jersey and Indiana are the only two remaining teams left in the Josh Smith sweepstakes. I will make my final decision tommorow

After working the numbers, the Twolves realized they can obtain another quality wingman in FA, who more fits the starting role at SG. Josh Smith would be moved to SF and Yi would be moved to the bench to provide depth for Smith & Beasley. The Twolves would like the player agent to reevaluate the situation regarding Minny and Mr. Josh Smith.

Josh and JR Smith! The Smith Brothers...coulda been a lot of potential there...anyways, guess the Wolves' marketing market will have to start working on "Deng Can Dunk!" We wish Mr. Josh Smith the best of luck in his future endeavors. Just glad he's going to the Leastern Conference
