Sacramento Gets: 83 | Rudy Gay | $2,579,400 | $3,280,996 66 | Shareef Abdur-Rahim | $6,200,000 | $6,600,000 Dermarr Johnson (Contract Only) | $1,000,000
Total Incoming: $9,779,400 Total Outgoing: $9,227,163
I accept this deal. Not only do I get a player I like about as much as Rudy Gay (Wilson Chandler), plus a GREAT backup player, one of the best 3pt shooters in the entire NBA (Azubuike), but I now clear out $6.6 million for next season. That is HUGE. I need to resign guys like Chandler and Millsap, and this gives me more money to do that, and have a great opportunity to bring in one or two good/great FA's.

Dude, this is a deal for my future. JRich makes way more than Gay or Chandler will want. My season is over, there are like 3 games left, why do I care at all about this year? I don't. Beginning of this season, do I do this deal? No probably not. Now that my season is over, yes I do. And posting Wilson Chandler's points in THIS league is irrelevant in more than one way.
1 - He hasn't gotten NEARLY the minutes that Gay has gotten, so just there, it's completely pointless to compare their stats at all.
2 - I've already compared them in MUCH detail IN REAL LIFE, which, in this league, IS WHAT WE BASE RATINGS ON.
So, let's recap. My season is over this year. I'm looking to next year, and beyond. I get a player who IN REAL LIFE is basically the same player Gay is already, while a year younger and with over a year less experience (which means in ratings by next year, as we modify our own ratings, he'll be very damn close in ratings). I already went over how I will get to sign Chandler to a long-term contract for MUCH less than Gay will ask. Another plus for me in this deal. I get basically the same player for cheaper.
Then I get Azubuike who really isn't a ton behind Chandler/Gay himself. He was the best 3pt shooter in the NBA last year (based on 3pt %, which has NOTHING to do with the system a player is in). He's young and developing and signed to a reasonable contract for a couple years also.
THEN, I get to save over 6 million for next year, which that alone is probably enough to re-sign Chandler.
Let's just cut the crap here Minny. You're one of the favorites to win this league, right? Here we have one of your competitors getting better for this year, and you're the main critic of the deal.
Coincidence?
I THINK NOT!
Stop trying to sway people's opinions. You're not even supposed to post in Submitted Trades anyway. Delete your post and put it in the "Trade Discussion" thread and have at it there.
This deal makes Sac better for this year, which is what he wants, and makes me better for the future, which is what I want.
Both sides win!
