Roster Minimum I am now implementing a new rule. From now on if there is any team under the 12 player roster minimum I won't sim until that team has the required 12 players.
Trading Deadline[/u] I am seeking input on what should be done during the trading deadline. We won't be using the trading deadline in the game as I don't think two weeks is enough of a warning. One of my ideas is to make the deadline March 1st and maybe stop simming for a few days leading up to the deadline so that GMs can focus even more on trading and not have to worry about updating depth charts after every single trade. Let me know what you think.
All Star Break[/u] I would also like input on what to do for the all star break. We could whatever players Live puts on the teams or we could have a vote. I would prefer a vote as Live has issues and may leave off a well deserving player. Also, our break won't be three days. I am thinking of extending it a to at most a week so we can do the rookie game,3 point shootout and dunk contest. The rookie game, 3 point shootout and dunk contest will be voted on by the gms in the league and I will have a thread up shortly to start the voting process. Again, comments are encouraged as I feel the league as a whole should be involved in this process.

I think the March 1st deadline is fine, but I don't see the need to stop the sims for a couple days. For teams that aren't looking to trade it would a slow couple days. Also I think it is a good idea to have the GM's vote on who makes the All-Star team, and a week off of sims for the All-Star break would be fine imo.

I agree with what you guys are saying, the issue of not simming...it really depends on who you are. The way the league has been kinda inactive though lately we probably need to keep moving forward.

March 1st sounds good for the deadline. As for the AS Break, we (all the GM's) should vote for all the participants for the events. If you want, I can sim the 3pt contest?

Personally I fine with either way on the trade deadline but if their has been less activity (for the entire league)I say we shouldn't stop simming and having GMs vote on the all start game would bring in some more activity.

I think slowing the league down is an ultimately bad idea. It could cause problems with people and create inactivity especially with the trade deadline being done then. I say we speed up actually. It's easier to run a team and make deals when you can see what your team is doing. I know I'm one deal away from being happy with my team but I'm not so sure aobut other teams. I am sure there are teams looking to make a bunch of deals too so I'm fine with the deadline being either date. I actually anticipated it being on the original date of February 15th. I hope trading picks up now because this league is one of the better leagues around.

I believe we should keep simming as well through the trade deadline. The only break should be the all-star game, but a week might be too long, as there will be many teams who have no players in it. We need to keep up activity whenever possible.

There will be 4 events and I'm sure the majority of the league will be represented. Probably 30 players in the all-star game, 6-8 (maybe more) in the 3pt contest, 6-8 in the dunk contest and another 30 in the rookie game. Well, if we don't slow down the league to get somewhat close to the NBA then we'll have to do something like D5 is doing with D6. We'd have another league running to close the large gap (5 months).

Oh, and it would be nice if I didn't have to sim the all-star break but I will if no one else can.

for the trade deadline i tihnk there should be a week of no simming. and for the all star voting i think we should do voting from the GMS that would be really cool.

i agree, each team posts a player from there team who is there best dunker or 3pt shooter, w.e the competition is. and then the admins will decide who is worthy of going in it, and make a poll.
