So far, Pudge to the Yankees for Farnswarth. IMO it was a move made by a desperate GM who's neck is on the line. Nice move though, since the Yankees needed a catcher. Tex to the Angels and more recently Ken Griffey Jr to the White Sox.

I wonder if the Manny trade will go through, I'm a Redsox fan and I do like him but he slacks off a lot and it's something he shouldn't do considering how much their paying him.

Ya, Manny's being Manny right now and he's causing quite a distraction. As a Jays fan I'd love for the Sox to deal Manny for Bay, don't get to see Bay play much so I'll get to see him a lot more.

He's pretty good (younger and cheaper), not the home run hitter that Manny is but he's better at playing defense then Manny is, so it would sort of equal out

numbers this season:
Manny .299BA 20HR 68RBI .398OBP .529SLG
Jason .282BA 22HR 64RBI .375OBP .519SLG
So it's not really a big difference (plus Bay got those numbers on a sh*tty Pirates team.)

I heard the M's don't want to deal Ibanez anymore. Buttholes. Manny to Dodgers, Bay to Sox, prospects to Pittsburgh.

I'm 50-50 on this, Like I said I'm a fan of Manny and his wacky antiques like using his cell phone during a pitching change, having to go to the bath room in the Green Monster and giving the fan a high five after catching a fly ball are OK but he wasn't giving any effort, if he didn't hit a home run then he didn't even seem to try and get to base. Bay had similar bating numbers and is a better fielder so it works out.

There might not be a big gap in the regular season, but the part where there's a huge gap is in the post-season. Bay hasn't played a meaningful game in his career and has no track record in the postseason. Manny is a totally different player in the post-season and is one of the most clutch guys in the league. IMO he's definitely gonna be missed in the post-season.
