Rockets killed this trade. Basically two late first rounders and Jackson for Artest. Salary dump for the Kings, I think they could have gotten a young stud from another team though or they should've just dealt him at the deadline to a desperate team.
Love this move for the Rockets, get a great defender and Artest loved playing for Adelman in Sac Town before so you know he's gonna be in full force. I think they still need a upgrade at PG if they really wanna win the title.

Saying this gives the Rockets the title is a little much, the Lakers, Hornets, Jazz, and the Spurs are still arguably better teams. Plus when you add in the health factor of Yao and T-Mac I'd say teams like Portland and Phoenix could end up with a better record the Houston.

Everyone is going to doubt Houston until they make it past the first round and that's fine TOR, but on paper this is the best team in the league easy.
And yeah I agree PHO Rafer sucks.....but really if we run a Shaq/Kobe offense, T-mac will have the ball in his hands most of the time. So really you could call T-mac the PG and play T-mac/Artest/Battier/Scola/Yao OR
T-mac/2 guard(probably Barry)/Battier/Artest/Yao
I would like them to get someone who can be dependable at PG though...maybe like a Lindsey Hunter?

Right their kills your entire argument for them winning it all, NBA games aren't played on papper. (Nothing against T-Mac and the Rockets I just think this is funny)

(Nothing against T-Mac and the Rockets I just think this is funny) If you had told me the Boston Celtics would win the NBA Title this time last year (even with the KG/Allen trades) I would have told you you're nuts. If you had told me a year ago today the Giants were going to win the super bowl I would have laughed really really really really hard. I'm not saying it's an instant title but if I have to put money on someone it's Houston. PS. that pics is lame

As a fan I was super duber excited, shit like this doesn't happen to your team. Rockets have been close the last 2 years, they would have made the 2nd round had Yao been healthy this year no question. To add Artest to a team that made the playoffs, took the Jazz to 6 WITHOUT Yao is something speical. There deep, they have a big 3, they look ready to me.
