To make this a little bit more fun for us, we decided to throw out a rather large offer for O'Neal..
We need him to compete and even have bumped him up to our number one priority. We really need to explain to you Mr. O'Neal that with you, we can contend. We would have 4 players over 80 at that point. Redd, Aldridge, Deng and O'Neal. Jarrett Jack is the oddball at this point but for now, or at least until the season starts.. he's all we can really have. We still need to sign us some bench players but we will try to appease Mr.O'Neal as best as possible by even giving him player options every year but the first year. If he ever wants to Opt out. then he can.
Year 1: 11,000,000 Year 2: 12,000,000(PO) Year 3: 13,000,000(TO)
That's a 3 year deal worth 36 Million dollars. That's the most money that we can offer and still afford to put out a team that would make sense. We would love you to sign with us but if you feel you need to go elsewhere, that is fine.
Updated: We thought we'd give him the team option instead of the player option in year 3.

1. Magic: We are tempted to accept your offer now, but the Ron Artest situation makes it tough. Are you willing to make us your #1 option? Also will you really expect my client to guard Lebron when the Magic play the Heat? You have the guards to go small, why wouldn't you just do that? -- we are playing 29 other teams, not only Miami, though im looking forward to that matchup. -- i only have one good big man and thats Dwight Howard, who actually is more a defender than a low scorer. The presence of Dwight will make life even easier for JO -- and now the best: if u want to accept the offer now - sign it! we dont have to wait for artest if u want to do...we cant show anymore "love"for him!

Okay well Detroit is out and the Ron Artest thing is over.
My client would like to hear why the 3 teams left want him (Washington, Orlando, and Charlotte) and will decide with that in mind.

Mr. O'Neal, This is a very important factor in our team that you sign with us. We're giving you a one year trial period with us to see how you like the team. We also would like to announce that we just traded the egregious contract of Luol Deng so that we have some room to make some moves with you here.
I would like to also point out that we are DESPERATELY looking for a PG for this team and are even looking to trade our 2011 first round draft pick(which is looking like it may be a decent pick) for a PG so that we can win a championship this year. You may realize that we are the least talented team available but you could be an integral part of this team. You'd be the best option for us at C and that would leave you with a place to play. You wouldn't have to worry about playing at PF in Orlando or even worry about playing time at all in Charlotte. I know that these teams are stacked but you jump into a scenario where you get the best chance to play your style and bang bodies and have some fun playing basketball again. We may not be the best team in the league, but we sure will be a team that teams hate to play against. Michael Redd and Rashard Lewis are two of the game's player that would like to shoot at any time. I know you're probably waiting to see what we have at PG but I promise you that the recent signing of Jarrett Jack and Stephon Marbury are not the only thing we will have at PG We will be competing for a 75-78 Rated PG or even a younger guy who we know has some potential(Rodney Stuckey or Brandon Jennings). We are looking to make some deals to please you, if you don't believe so, ask around the league.

First, let me say that I'm going to answer your question "why do you want Jermaine" and not talk about why the other two teams "don't need him as much." We feel you are plenty smart enough to be able to assess each teams' situation, and are just going to answer the last question that you asked.
Here we go - We've made it clear that we want Jermaine in Charlotte to be a defensive presence, but to also be a unique (to our team at least [which means he gets opportunities that others won't on our team]) Offensive player. With Jermaine in town, we have someone to strike fear into opposing guards trying to get to the Rim. When coupled with Chris Paul's tenacious play on D, and Eric Gordon's developing shut down D on the perimeter, and Granger being a very very very good Defensive player on many SF/PF types, this team will be amazing on the defensive end.
What we are really missing, without Jermaine, is a post defensive presence in the starting lineup. Jermaine really completes this team. His offensive abilities are also needed here in Charlotte very badly, as David Lee doesn't really have a jump shot that is consistent, so Jermaine will get lots of those opportunities.
If you would like further explanation, please let us know and we will be happy to provide it.

simple as it is: -- most guaranted money -- we showed that we love him and made him first option too (that is what he wanted) before the artest thing was over -- starting at PF or C - 34-40 minutes guaranted as we only have some benchies in that positions except dwight -- playing with dwight makes it a lot of easier for JO and he will get great stats --great GM managing the team *g* -- the weather...florida -- best title chances in Orlando! comparison to other teams: -- well the bobcats have 5 starting PFs or Cs (Hawes, Gasol, Tyrus Thomas, Yi and David Lee) all young...how will they split minutes now and in the next season is JO their backup? bobcats gm will say no, but you'll know the answer...besides that you -- Washington imo has a very, very weak team...redd is decling and rasheed lewis has a terrible contract... Missing out on Brand, Arenas and Artest we finally have Miami as a good player agent...Choose Orlando, JO! we even add a 2nd better deal, where Mr. Oneal can earn more money upfront: DEAL 2: Year 1: $12,000,000 Year 2: $9,000,000 (PO) Year 3: $9,000,000 (PO) Year 4: $10,000,000 (PO) total: $40,000,000 all guaranted! (no TOs incl.) 09/10 Total Salary: $55,105,730 09/10 Soft Cap Room: $13,894,270 09/10 Hard Cap Room: $29,894,270 or just choose the other deal in the older post in this thread if u still want some other options, money etc. let us know

Orlando, as a mod, you are really putting me on the spot saying "we finally have Miami as a good player agent." I feel like everyone has done the best they can, so I'm not sure about that comment. I know I think you should have gotten Brand, but the other two I'm not so sure about. As close as this is it may come into play, as it may look like I'm bashing my fellow mods or that you are bulling me into giving you JO. Let me say that this comment hurts you and if you do get JO it will be despite that comment, because these are 3 of my best sim leagues friend bidding for JO, emotions playing NOTHING into this.
All 3 teams have an attractive situation, but Washington is the worst of the 3 teams. Therefore I hate to do this to you Brad, but I think it's time to start the rebuilding process in Washington and this decision will help you do that. I also feel like people may say I am softing my division if JO doesn't go to Orlando or Charlotte.
We are down to two teams now, Orlando and Charlotte.
I have a question for Orlando, and it's an important one and may decided where JO goes.
If my client signs with you, when we play Miami, will you go small ball with a lineup of Ford/Richardson/Gay/Hedo/D12? What promises are you willing to make to allow to believe you won't do this?
Charlotte, I'd like for you to give me a final contract, I've got a few for Orlando that I can pick from but please submit at least one.
We will have our decision tonight
PS for a mod: Is Hedo on the Magic? He isn't on there roster, that could affect my decision as well

as a BB coach i can tell u two strategies: 1) man-on-man Defense with D12 defending Lebron and forcing him to be a jumpshooter and JO defending Camby 2) as Miami doesnt have too many great shooters im a fan of the zone defense with D12 and JO in the middle
yes i picked up his option and he is in the league salary database
if u have anymore question...post it or pm me...which contract you like better? im pretty much overpaying him (compare Sheeds 83 contract in Dallas) if u want you can downgrade the offer financielly like they did with arenas...but well we really want him and as 50% of where a FA goes is decidid by money we offer over 40 millions guaranted instead of the 12 millions by bobcats

My client is worried about Miami still, and if I wasn't the the GM I would make you promise to start JO against the Heat. I was pretty sure I was going to give JO to Orlando when I started this, but the whole PF thing bothered me. JO isn't as fast as he use to be, and then the comment about me being a good PA seemed over the top. I know Orlando didn't get a big FA while Charlotte did, and I think that's the factor that makes my decision. Charlotte I'm sorry to do this but I think this is the most fair, yall are neck and neck in my book. You didn't offer a little bit more money to show you were committed to Mr. O'Neal, while Orlando did offer a lot more money and seemed more enthusiastic about getting my client. Mr. O'Neal accepts the Magic offer, and would like to thank everyone (espeically Charlotte) for their services. Orlando offers: 09/10: $7,894,270 10/11: $9,500,000 (PO) 11/12: $10,000,000 (PO) 12/13: $12,000,000 (TO) 4 years / $39,394,270 *Note* We changed Year 3 from 11 M to 10 M to cap it off (for realism), and made the last year a TO. My client doesn't want to cripple the Magic in the future if he gets hurt, and understands he probably won't play in that 4th year. We did give you an option though just incase you want him down the road.
