I pretty much agree with your ratings except for a couple of players:
Kapono (70) might deserve more like a 72-73 but I am not personally going to argue hard there.
Dont see a reason for a higher rating. He is as one dimensional as anyone in the league and looked pretty awful in Toronto.
Billups (83) should be an 86-87.
Maybe it’s just me but I think Billups is a little bit overrated and 85 would be enough
Derrick Rose (79) probably did enough to be an 81...not higher yet IMO though...he probably will perform well enough this year to get further increase.
No way he is worse than Mayo…he should be an 82 at least.
Detroit PistonsInteresting team...Is Pierce (91) better than Melo (90) better than Joe Johnson (89)? They are close together IRL...just not sure if I like this order. Johnson was actually the best of the 3 last season. Not sure what to do here to be honest, but it probably needs looked at.
Tough one…I would go Melo(91), Joe(90) and Pierce(89)
Peja (81) was more like a 75 last year...though I'd probably only lower him to a 78 for now.
I would have no problem to drop him to 75 but he might bounce back this year so maybe 76-77 is fair…
Tyrus Thomas (76) not sure I would raise him yet, but he did come in at rank 44 in Yahoo's ratings last year.
Absolutely no reason to raise him, in fact I even think that 76 is generous for him. He still doesn’t really know what he is doing on the court and his stats only increased because of playing time(per 36 numbers are identical to his rookie and sophmore year).
Ben Gordon (82) I've been against him for awhile, but last year he really made some noticeable improvements. I'd say he's an 84-85 right now.
83-84 is enough he is not that good.
Marion (94) is way too high. He's still a good player (ranked 44 in Yahoo last year) but he should be more like an 85.
He looked awful last year and people are finally starting to see how “good” he really is. He will probably bounce back a little bit in Dallas but as of right now 81-82 is enough IMO.
Thad Young (73) I'd like him around a 74-75 for now.
Wilson Chandler (74) maybe is a 75-76 but that's a small move right now.
Jeff Green (74) should be in the 77 range.
I see them pretty much on the same level 76-77.
JJ Redick (67) finally showed that he can produce in the NBA...I'd bump him to low 70s.
70 is enough he is one dimensional and not a better player than Kapono for example.
Calderon (82) should probably be rated as well or better than Odom (85). I'd put both at an 84 and keep Shaq at 84 too.
I think Calderon is rated just fine. Maybe him and Shaq at 83 and Odom at 84.
Ben Wallace (81) needs to drop to a 75 or lower.
Definitely lower. 72-73 IMO.
Kirilenko (85) probably should be an 83-84 for now.
More like 81-82. He is really overrated
Brand (90) may be just a little high...probably should be 87-88 for now.
I’d say 85-86. He looked not that good last year and his injury probably didn’t help either
Devin Harris (79) is an 82ish for now.
I think 84-85 is more accurate. I mean he was in contention for MIP and will produce even better without Carter.
Nocioni (78) is high...should be about 75.
Is not that bad just a little bit overpaid. 76-77 is fair IMO.
Ryan Anderson (68) should be in the 72 range and will likely go higher.
Don’t see it. I mean you have Anderson(72) over McGee(71) and Thompson(70) WTF?
Farmar (69) should be about a 72
Louis Williams (66) is probably more like a 69-71. Also got the starting PG gig in Philly IRL...we'll see what he makes of it.
I don’t think Farmar is better. They are both at 71 IMO.
(Draft Rights on Lakers)
Thabeet (68) should be higher...
I think he will be a bust but he is probably at 70 right now because of draft position.
Jason Thompson (66) should be about a 70.
I think he is underrated. 72-73 is where I see him.
Here are some other players:
Delonte West (74) is a really nice role player and should be around 76-77
Adam Morrison (74) looked awful thus far. Should be a 70
Anderson Varejao (71) I don’t really like him but he probably deserves a 73-74
Leandro Barbosa (76) didn’t really improve but I think he is a little bit better. 77-78 maybe
Lindsey Hunter (72) below 70 for sure
Chuck Hayes (69) is a little bit better. I’d say 72-73
Josh Smith (87) he is not that good. 83-84 is enough
Steve Blake (70) is a very solid point guard. I think he deserves a 72-73
Fabricio Oberto (66) could be a little higher
C.J. Miles (62) many expect big things from him this season and rightfully so. I’d say he is a 67-68 at least
Al Horford (82) is a little bit overrated. I think 80-81 is his range
Jason Richardson (85) is definitely too high. 81-82 should be Ok
Nicholas Batum (76) he is very talented but not that good right now. I think 74-75 is better
Vince Carter (89) has declined a little bit so more like a 86-87
Tyson Chandler (80) he is overrated and will get exposed in Charlotte this year. 76-78 is his range depending on how you like him
Brandon Bass (72) maybe a little higher
Roger Mason (71) same as Bass. I see both of them at 73-74
Nick Young (68) is talented and showed it every now and then last year. 70-71 is more accurate IMO
Hedo Turkoglu (82) don’t really like him but he is defintely as good as Odom for example. I’d put him at 84
Andre Iguodala (88) is a nice player but 88 is a stretch since he is not better than Kevin Martin for example. I see him at 85-86
Baron Davis (89) looked awful last year but is probably still in the 84-85 range
Ray Allen (88) has declined a little bit which puts at 85-86 IMO
Danilo Gallinari (68) is a really nice player and he will show it this year. I’d say 71-73 right now
Brendan Haywood (69) was always underrated. Dunno how good he is after his injury but probably a little bit higher than 69
Carlos Boozer (87) maybe its just me but I see him a point or two under his current rating
Marreese Speights (68) showed nice signs last year and should be around 72
Michael Redd (86) was not that good and definitely wont be after his injury. So I’d say a 83-84 as of right now
Ron Artest (86) is a nice player but more of a good 2nd/great 3rd option plus great defense of course. So I’d put him at 83-85
Jermaine O'Neal (87) has declined quite a bit and will probably continue to do so. I’d put him at 80-81 right now
Jarrett Jack (71) looked good last year. Maybe just a fluke but I’d give him a 73-74 right now
Eddie House (65) god I hate that guy but he is a little bit better than that. Probably 69-70
Bobby Jackson (74) has declined to a 70-71
Stro Swift (72) and Marko Jaric (72) both not that good. I’d say 69-70
Jeff Foster (66) come on he is not great but he is better than that. I’d say 70-71
Rasheed Wallace (87) has declined to a 82-83 IMO
Glen Davis (67) is overrated in general but deserves a 71-73
I didnt went into detail as much as the Bobcats GM but I am ready to argue about certain players...
